As the All India Rank 1 holder for the CUET exam in 2022, I found that most kids do not have enough support navigating what happens after the exam – filling up the list and shortlisting their courses. I wanted to help students find alignment between their interests, passions and the course they choose. I co-founded Careerousity to help students bag unheard of opportunities, just like I received a full scholarship to be mentored by Harvard faculty. Along with my educational interests, I helped co-create policy outcomes at the national level, and my story tells you that nothing is out of reach if you have the right guidance.
I’m Sana, a 24-year-old marketing enthusiast from Delhi with a BCom and an MBA in Digital Marketing & Transformation. I’m a poet and microbiologist. In 2019, I published my debut chapbook of poems with a US-based publisher and another in 2020. I’m the only India-based winner of the New Poets Prize, which I won for my manuscript Notes on Burials in 2024, organised by The Poetry Business (UK). I’ve published work globally in both scientific and literary journals, and published both poetry and nonfiction in some of the most read journals, including Poetry (Chicago), Poetry London, Poetry Northwest and Poetry Wales.
In 2023, I cleared GATE with two papers, and I’m currently studying for a Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Indore, with research focussed on Alzheimer’s.
